Diosdado Cabello Rondón assured that the recurrent attacks against Bolivia, such as the coup attempt against President Luis Arce this Wednesday, June 26, are due to the fact that the North American empire wants to exercise its control, since this nation has the largest lithium reserves in the world.

“Bolivia has something called lithium, it's necessary, just as we have oil. The largest lithium reserves are in Bolivia and they need to be in control of that,” he explained.

This was stated by Cabello, referring to a publication, which comments on the actions of United States congressmen, regarding a resolution against condemning the supposed “Maduro regime”.

“The United States cares about Venezuela, but they don't condemn the coup d'etat in Bolivia, those who believe that's a situation,” said the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), during his Con El Mazo Dando program, on broadcast 482.

He stressed that the United States had achieved that control “in some way with the previous coup, until President Arce arrived and returned that and that cost him.”

In that regard, he recalled that in Venezuela all the Presidents who tried to control oil “knocked them down, all of them, the same thing happens there.”
