Cabello: Behind attempts at violence in the country is the hand of major terrorist Uribe Vélez

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said that for some time the Bolivarian Government has been denouncing with evidence the constant conspiracy and destabilization plans promoted and executed by the extremist opposition sector.

“We have been denouncing for a long time with evidence in hand,” he said, referring to the complaint of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, about these destabilizing plans.

“I ask not only the Armed Forces, but you have also given the order to the People, to the popular intelligence (...) Every thing that is detected that is reported,” he urged.

He stated that behind all these attempts at violence, “there is the hand of the biggest terrorist in this entire region , Álvaro Uribe Vélez, with his accomplices here in Venezuela.”

“These people are gathered today in Colombia, it's worrying, not only for Venezuela, but for this entire area of America,” he warned and recalled that this sector of the Latin American right is responsible for the anti-Venezuelan campaign carried out by media and social networks.

“Remember President that they are on a global campaign, to blame Venezuela and Venezuelans for what happens anywhere,” he said from the city of Maracaibo, Zulia state, during his participation in the 38th broadcast of the program “With Maduro+”, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“That's not innocent, it's not accidental, and we're sure it has some connection with any act of violence that occurs in this area. They are very cowardly and always use the same repetitive script,” he warned.

As an example of these attempts at violence, he recalled that on December 31, the violent right intended to “attack Venezuelan military units, to begin a terrorist escalation.”

“They were detected and are imprisoned, they are convicted and confessed, they have said who they are, what is the mechanism they had to prevent the people of Venezuela, once they could enjoy the love of the month of December,” he said.
