Diosdado Cabello, first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), highlighted the importance of knowing the letter written by the deputy Fabricio Ojeda, addressed to the National Congress of the Fourth Republic in which he explains his reasons for renouncing his seat and taking the path of insurrection against puntofijist democracy.

“We must review this letter from the great patriot and revolutionary Fabricio Ojeda, who was the first to talk about civic-military union,” Cabello asked Venezuelans, recalling that the leader was the leader of the popular revolution of January 23, 1958 and “a deputy who stood by the just struggles of the people.”

He stressed that in his letter Ojeda clarifies that the guerrillas are not going to fight against the National Armed Forces but against those who maintained the Punto Fijo regime.
