Cabello: Any sports competition in the country will have the participation of parathletes

The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced that by decision of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, henceforth any competition held in the country must have the participation of parathletes.

He explained that the measure will apply to any competition that takes place in Venezuela, whether it is youth, communal or regional. “They will be present and as protagonists in the competitions that take place in any corner of Venezuela.”

At the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paranational Games, sector vice-president Cabello expressed, first of all, his desire to “send a strong hug and recognition from the Head of State who kept an eye on the games”. He highlighted his excitement at being at the closing event of the competitions and being proud of the performance of each of them.

In that vein, he stated that “you end up being thrilled with you and it's satisfying to see you as protagonists, because it makes us feel better Venezuelans because of the pride we feel to see you there with your efforts, competing.”
