Cabello announces defense exercise to prevent right-wing attacks: We celebrate but prepare

The first
vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV),
Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced the deployment of a defense exercise across the
country and the activation of the Popular Units for Peace (UPAZ) next
Saturday to prevent any attack from the internal or external extreme right.
During the
press conference of the National Directorate of the Red Awning, Cabello stressed that “our
people have to be prepared, we celebrate but we prepare, and each of
these activities must culminate in a great celebration, with sancocho, with
music, after doing the exercise. To God begging and Con El Mazo Dando!” ,
he said.
He stressed the
importance of nourishing the spirit of joy, “and we are going to do this
within the scheme proposed by brother President Nicolás Maduro of the popular - military - police
fusion. So on Saturday, all the structures
of the Vice-Presidency for Party Security and the Great Patriotic Pole
are mobilized in every place that corresponds to it (...) We mobilize within
the framework of joy and celebration”.
