The domestic policy committee of the National Assembly will begin in the coming days the creation of a law that develops the provisions of article 130 of our constitution to prevent those who have called for actions against the country from running for office of popular election, said the president of this legislative body, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

“A person who called for sanctions, invasions, blockade, cannot think that they can aspire to a position of popular choice in that territory that they previously wanted to hand over. We are going to develop Article 130 of the constitution,” he said.

It is important to note that Article 130 of our Magna Carta states: “Venezuelans have a duty to honor and defend the homeland, its symbols and cultural values; to protect and protect the sovereignty, nationality, territorial integrity, self-determination and interests of the Nation.”

On the other hand, he described as historic the unanimous approval of the Organic Bill for the Defense of Guiana Essequiba.

“That Law is alive. We were in the middle of the discussion and when Article 27 was approved, the transnational corporations started to scream because it talks about money,” he said.

He also stressed that the parliamentarians who approved this legal instrument did not accept blackmail from any transnational or foreign power, on the contrary, they complied with the mandate given by more than 10,500,000 Venezuelans in the consultative referendum on the Essequibo.
