Cabello: 532 years ago, indigenous peoples demonstrated their honor, courage and dignity to imperialism

This Saturday, October 12, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, recalled that 532 years ago our native peoples showed Spanish imperialism the importance of “honor, courage and dignity”.

In that sense, during the commemorative ceremony for the Day of Indigenous Resistance, he pointed out that the imperialism of that time brought only “death, desolation and plunder (...) our Peoples were already here, they didn't need to be discovered, if only they had never arrived, if only on their lost route they had taken them to another place”.

In the same way, he condemned that 532 years later, the same imperialism with its supremacist complex is out there. “They are claiming the genocide committed against the Peoples of America, they are the same people who claim the genocide committed every day by the terrorists who govern the Zionist State of Israel, they are the same people who came to this land to wipe out a people that lived in harmony, in community, a wise people, they are the same people who for centuries have stolen natural resources from poor peoples,” he said.
