Brazil will turn abandoned federal properties into social projects

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva launched a program on Monday that will convert abandoned or unused federal government properties into social projects such as affordable housing, schools, sports and cultural areas, according to the Telesur website.
“We are starting something new through the program called Democratization of State Buildings, which was presented last March by the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck,” said the president.
In this regard, Lula pointed out that the current conditions are ready to start this project. “Starting with this launch, we will start working on the distribution of properties,” he said.
