On September 3, 1810, the Venezuelan Military Academy, the oldest training institute for army officers in South America, was founded.

Its creation was due to the fact that the organization of its military forces was required to defend the nation's independence by the Supreme Junta of Caracas, according to a resolution signed by the Secretary of War and Navy, Captain of Fragata, Lino De Clemente.

“I could say something else, without exaggeration of any kind”, the Military Academy was the cradle where the Bolivarian Revolution nestled” (...) here I became Bolivarian, here I began to feel the Bolivarian passion and I came up with at least a pre-revolutionary thought,” said Commander Hugo Chávez.

The Military Academy, which is the oldest officer training institute in the country, was established in Venezuela to organize military forces to continue the fight in defense of the nation's autonomy.

“Generations and generations have been forged here, we were forged here,” said Commander Chávez.

The House of Blue Dreams continues to train the women and men of the Bolivarian Republic, to defend it in an integral way, actively participating in its development and always as sentinels, together with its people, in a civic-military union.
