The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil expressed, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, thanks to the leaders of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, for their firm rejection of the coercive measures imposed by the United States against Venezuela.
This Thursday, the Government of Nicaragua rejected and condemned the new sanctions of the United States Administration against 16 senior officials of the Venezuelan executive.
“Imperial, colonial and neocolonial aggressions only show the impotence and anger of decadent and decrepit empires because, morally, they have lost all battles against a world that is neither submissive nor dependent, but fierce, courageous and determined to transform outdated systems and create the new multipolar order,” said the Sandinista Executive in a statement.
In the statement, signed by the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, and his wife and vice-president, Rosario Murillo, entitled 'Venezuela, worthy and courageous! ' , the Nicaraguan Government said that it “rejects and condemns the continuous aggressions that are launched against our peoples and governments in a time that we recognize as luminous battles for our dignity, sovereignty and rights. Our people, the Nicaraguan families, extend our hearts of solidarity to the glorious people of (Simon) Bolívar, (Hugo) Chávez, Nicolás, to that great Bolivarian community, united in ideals, values, struggles and horizons of peace and well-being,” he added.
For Ortega and Murillo, the new US sanctions against the Maduro circle are “another aggression”, which for them means “more struggles, more victories, more honor and more glory for that heroic Venezuela, and for all of us, who know that power belongs to the peoples and that we have to defend it every day with the strength and strength of our great spirits”.
