On the night of this Thursday, September 19, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil thanked the National Assembly of Nicaragua for its strong condemnation of the neocolonial action of the European Parliament, “which seeks to impose subordinate leaders in free and sovereign nations. Venezuela is no one's colony, and the Venezuelan people will continue to defend their right to self-determination.”

Namely, the National Assembly of Nicaragua condemned the continuous and absurd interference of the European Parliament against Venezuela. This European instance “has been characterized by its colonialist, neocolonialist and interventionist policies in matters that do not concern them”, says the text.

“We denounce, reject and condemn the spurious resolution of that colonialist invasion organ, on issues that concern only the Venezuelan people, their institutions, and in which entities such as that parliament, whose interventionist blade we have also known, and repudiated, have nothing to do with our Nicaragua,” they said.

In addition, in the communiqué, the Nicaraguan legislature indicates that, in the face of daily complaints against these infamous bodies, this new attempt to protect what does not concern them and to legislate on the jurisprudence that other peoples, “we have written, defended and protected in our own right.”
