Bolivarian Government strengthens training against the Crime of Human Trafficking

A total of 200 civil servants from the Criminal Justice System participated in the activity

From the facilities of the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, a total of 200 officials from the bodies that make up the Criminal Justice System participated in the Forum “Strategies for the Comprehensive Prevention, Visibility and Scientific Investigation of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons”.

The aforementioned Ministry, through its account on the social network X, reported that the activity was chaired by the Deputy Minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, Humberto Ramírez, who highlighted the importance of scientific and technological development in investigative actions of this type of event for the protection of those who may become victims.

On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Internal Policy and Legal Security, Alana Zuloaga, reflected on strengthening knowledge and understanding the strategic importance of the fight against trafficking in persons, it is a crime that affects any type of person, regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation or religion.

Among the papers presented are Human Rights of Victims of Human Trafficking and the Role of the Ombudsman's Office; Legal Aspects and Evidentiary Activity; Judicial Aspects of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons; Trafficking in Persons as a Social Fact; among others.

The conference was attended by members of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC); the Bolivarian National Police (PNB); the Public Ministry (MP); the Public Defense (DP) and the General Directorate of International Police (INTERPOL).
