Bolivarian Government signs agreement with FIFA to create soccer teams in 3,000 schools

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro approved a sports program funded and directed by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), which will create 3,000 teams of the discipline in schools in the country to promote the growth of activity in the country.

The president of the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF), Jorge Jiménez, highlighted this important sporting alliance between Venezuela and FIFA, in which the governing body of this sport will provide 50,000 balls for the country's soccer fields, uniforms and shoes for 3,000 teams and the hiring of 9,000 technicians trained under the updated guidelines of that sports organization.

The Sports Minister, Franklin Carrilo, detailed part of the work carried out by the national government to promote sports in Venezuela, for the benefit of all sectors of the country.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, stressed that all young people who are trained through the Plan “Football Comes to School” will increase their educational level in a comprehensive manner.
