Specialized teams are carrying out restoration work in the National Pantheon to recover the monument's splendour and protect its infrastructure, following the damage caused by the double earthquake of last June 24.
According to information released by the Ministry of People's Power for Communication and Information, the crews are focusing on polishing and recovering the floors of the enclosure, while protecting every historical detail of the architectural structure. The works seek to condition the areas that were damaged by the earthquakes.
These actions are part of the Venezuela Renace Plan, promoted by the National Executive under the guidance of the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez. The agency indicated that the initiative is intended to preserve the country's cultural heritage and keep historical memory in force.
The ministerial body stressed that the maintenance of these spaces represents a tribute to national roots. He also noted that the conservation of monuments helps to pave the way for future generations in the knowledge of Venezuelan history.
