Bolivarian Government reinforces security and stability of the Los Teques Metro railroad

The Los Teques Metro Anonymous Company replaced concrete biblock sleepers on track 1 of the Corral de Piedra tunnel, with the objective of strengthening the safety and stability of the railway.
According to information released by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), new components were installed at the site along with cushioning soles that allow for correcting variations, as well as optimizing the horizontal and vertical alignment of the section.
It was also known that this work ensures a smooth and stable movement of trains along the route, prevents hasty wear of the fasteners and eliminates the risk of derailment.
“The new soles reduce the direct impact on the wheels and the rolling stock suspension system, which preserves the mechanics of the trains,” VTV reported.
