Bolivarian Government rehabilitates chapel of the UCV Clinical Hospital

The Presidential Commission for the Recovery of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) rehabilitated the chapel of the University Clinical Hospital, located in the Anatomopathological Institute, as part of the works it is carrying out in various spaces on the campus.
The architect Eduardo Gil explained that the intervention made it possible to rediscover a unique element of the structure: “The vault is a self-supporting curved roof that pretends to be supported by these columns, something that, due to an curious detail, is not; it is an architectural device that was discovered on the occasion of the recovery”.
Gil pointed out that the lime and sand friezes were restored and that a chromatic proposal was applied so that the color of the walls was darker than that of the decorated front wall, so as not to detract from light or importance to the work of art.
