The Bolivarian Government established guidelines for action with the purpose of implementing a recovery project that allows the sanitation of the water basins of the state of La Guaira through the execution of waste removal tasks in the flows and the cleaning of sand containment structures to raise the conditions of the resource that supplies the inhabitants of coastal towns.

The Minister of the People's Power for Water Care, Carlos Mast, said that they had an important meeting with the Vice Presidency of Public Services, as part of an articulated action that will be transferred to the field with cleaning and removal of all the desalination plants. It is important to note that they have prioritized four streams that provide drinking water to different populations.

The cartography will make it possible to identify a better extraction of water for purification to the different communities and, in addition, to maintain clean basins and make better use of them. “This will also allow us to mitigate future risks and improve the quality of the water that goes to the beaches, because we would eliminate all those sediments,” said the minister.

The infrastructure plan seeks to consolidate the restoration of drinking water distribution services and ensure the stability of land on mountain slopes through the cooperation of ministries and the support of State technicians in order to advance the reconstruction of local infrastructure for the well-being of the civilian population affected by natural disasters.
