A total of 15,000 tables and chairs will be recovered in educational institutions in the state of Sucre, with the purpose of guaranteeing decent and quality school furniture to the student population, said the governor of the entity, Jhoanna Carrillo.
According to a press release, the regional president indicated that the action will make it possible to meet the demand for about 13,000 tables and chairs throughout the region and thus achieve full coverage of educational infrastructures at all academic levels.
“The goal is to ensure that all our educational spaces have their appropriate tables and chairs; it is an essential task and we cannot neglect it. All our students must have a quality education,” said the governor.
Carrillo stressed that he has been working hand in hand with the Development Center for Educational Quality for the rehabilitation of the different spaces of educational establishments, emphasizing that they are addressing about 15 kitchen areas of about 54 that have been prioritized for restoration.
In addition, the highest authority in the state emphasized the provision of uniforms and school supplies, where some 54,892 students out of the 230,000 that the state has will be favored. He argued that the measure seeks to guarantee children with a higher index of vulnerability educational resources and tools for their learning.
“Mayors to guarantee this very important delivery with the principals so that children can count on their uniforms and school supplies. Make a comptroller so that the endowment reaches whoever it needs to reach,” Carrillo stressed.
