The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of the People's Power for Water Care (MINAGUAS), led by Minister G/D Rodolfo Marco Torres, announced the start-up of the San Lorenzo water treatment plant.

This plant produces 200 liters per second (LPS) and supplies drinking water to the population of Cumanacoa, in the Montes municipality of Sucre state.

After a continuous 72-hour day, the construction of two water catchments was completed and the plant's chlorination system was rehabilitated through the installation of new parts and valves. This guarantees the reliability of the service for the population.

Minister Marco Torres highlighted that, under the guidance of President Nicolás Maduro and the Single Authority for the Recovery of Cumanacoa, M/G Lockiby Belmontes, three wells were reactivated immediately. One of them is located in Barrio Blanco and the other two in the La Granja sector. These wells supply 17 communities in the region, as published by the MINAGUAS web portal.

In addition, work was carried out on the Manzanares River and the San Lorenzo water treatment plant to activate the entire water distribution network.
