With the objective of strengthening ecological awareness from the classroom, the Aragua Recicla Plan in Education 2026-2027 was launched, at an event that took place at the Arminda Carmen Morillo State Educational Unit in the Francisco Linares Alcántara municipality.

The initiative, according to a press release, aimed to promote comprehensive environmental culture within the educational community, involving students, teaching and administrative staff and representatives in sustainable practices.

To achieve this objective, the program will promote waste material and recyclable waste from the entity's different campuses, material that will be processed for subsequent transformation and direct exchange with furniture, tools and operational improvements for the infrastructure of the schools themselves.

The project is led by the entity's governor, Joana Sánchez, in coordination with the state's Single Education Authority, Leira Suárez, the team of the Autonomous Institute for Recycling and Environmental Protection (IARPA).

With this deployment, regional authorities seek to turn schools into centers of self-management and sustainability, ensuring that the ecological commitment of the school community is translated into concrete responses for the provision and conservation of their learning spaces.
