Bolivarian Government presented schedule of recreational activities for this Holy Week in Caracas

This Thursday, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, together with
Nahum Fernández, head of the Capital District, presented the schedule of recreational, cultural and religious
activities that will take place during Holy Week 2024.
“They are invited and invited to visit the parks, the squares
to enjoy all the activities this Holy Week,” Meléndez said
during a press conference at the Caracas Museum.
For his part, Fernández indicated
that the program was prepared with love for all people from Caracas, Caracas
and anyone who wants to visit Caracas during Major Week.
“Caracas is
the cultural epicenter of Venezuela. We are going to meet Almighty God and
enjoy Holy Week in Caracas 2024,” he said.
Below is
the schedule of activities:
March 21: Inauguration of the
Faith Exhibition at the Caracas Museum. “Art of Faith”, the exhibition will be open
throughout Holy Week and the Encounter of the Conversations of
Religions around “The Friend Jesus”.
March 23: Development of the
Parrot Festival in Alí Primera Park, with all the traditional games, where children will learn to make
parrots. And at 10:00 a.m. in Plaza La
Candelaria, the Tourism Fair will be installed.
March 24: Palm Sunday. Mass and Blessing
of the Palms, which will be on Paseo Los Próceres, in the tradition the Palmeras
of Chacao, bring the blessed palm and distribute it to all the churches,
“we are going to be with them,” said the mayor.
March 24-27: Get all the mission bases with traditional
games.
March 25-31: In each of the parishes, the Way of the Cross
will be represented, as part of the Great Living
Venezuela Mission, My Beloved Homeland.
March 26: Venezuelan confectionery exhibition
in Plaza El Venezolano, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. And in the Church of La
Candelaria, the Liberator's Orfeón will perform a sacred music concert at 5:30 p.m.
March 27: Holy Wednesday. The procession of the
Nazarene of Saint Paul. That day, two activities will take place. 4:00 p.m.
with the Mass, and at 7 p.m., there will be the presentation of the Living Way of the Cross, in the Cathedral Square.
March 27 to 29: Tour of the Seven Temples.
“There is a movement there in the historic center of Caracas, in the main
churches that are nearby,” said the mayor, which include the churches:
Corazón de Jesús, Santa Capilla, Santa Teresa, Caracas Cathedral, San
Francisco, Altagracia and Las Mercedes, where firefighters and Civil Protection will be in custody.
March 28: The 18 K race will take place from
Los Próceres at 7:00 a.m. That day the shooting of Los Próceres begins, where all
the children will have traditional games and all kinds of fun.
March 29: Good Friday. The Seven Words sermon will be
given.
March 30: 11:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. In the United Nations
Park, there will be Christians who begin with a fast, and
then they will do a concert.
March 31: Burning of Judas, the most traditional of which
is the one in Santa Rosalía Parish, starting at 4:00 p.m.
