The Bolivarian Government maintains constant monitoring of the riverbeds and ravines, in the face of the intense rains that have occurred in different states of the country, to guarantee the safety of citizens and prevent possible emergencies resulting from floods or floods.

In this regard, in the Portuguese state, members of the entity's Fire Department reported that water levels are normal in rivers in the Guanare, Acarigua (Páez), Araure, Sucre, Ospino and Turén municipalities of the state.

At the end of the round of channel monitoring in these jurisdictions, the agency reported that flows remain within normal parameters, “without posing an immediate risk to surrounding communities.”

The rains persist this Friday, May 9, in Portuguesa, but at a lower intensity than at the beginning of the week, when due to downpours, there was an increase in the level of the Guanare River, which forced the strengthening of preventive surveillance of channels and vulnerable areas.

The authorities recommend that the population avoid crossing flooded rivers, not throwing garbage in streams and reporting anomalies.
