The Government of Miranda State and Hidroven carried out maintenance work on the water well in the La Mata sector , located in the municipality of El Hatillo.

According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias , the maintenance work includes the extraction of 15 half-inch tubes in six meters, as well as a 1.5-horsepower submersible pump, for mechanical and electronic maintenance, according to a press release from the government.

The maintenance of this well will improve the distribution of vital liquid by generating two liters per second, benefiting 442 families, belonging to three communal councils in the La Mata and El Papelón sectors.
“In addition, an Australian tank with a capacity of 210,000 liters is being installed, a project approved by the industry community in the National Popular Consultation,” the newspaper reported.

The entity's water secretary, Karol Merchán, said that “once the work is completed, families in these two sectors of the metropolitan municipality will improve their quality of life with the direct supply of drinking water to their homes.”
