Bolivarian Government investigates new case of mass poisoning in Cojedes

Among those affected are students and administrative staff, workers and teachers

A total of 170 people, of whom 96 are teenagers and 69 adults, were poisoned by an expanded substance at the Manuel Manrique National Bolivarian High School, located in Apartadero, Anzoátegui municipality, in the state of Cojedes.

Among those affected are students, administrative staff, workers and teachers, who were transferred to the Dr. Egor Nucete Hospital in San Carlos, according to an official report from the Cojedes Fire Department.

The newspaper Última Noticias reported that the authorities are investigating this fact and “for this reason, a specialist team from Caracas came to the place where the substance was released to find the type of poison”.

“Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Health, Manuel Rodríguez, together with Mayor Úliber Quintero, staff of the National Public Health System, the security and protection agencies in the entity, remain at the forefront of this situation, which has been completely controlled,” the media said.
