As part of plans to care for public services and improve the quality of life on the Aragüeño coast, the mayor's office of the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast, in a joint effort with the crews of the National Electricity Corporation (CORPOELEC), carried out the installation of ten lights in the Aponte hamlet, an action that provides illuminated streets and greater security to more than 50 families in the area.

Similarly, in response to the needs of the community of Santa Eduvigis, Corpoelec completed the installation of a new 37.5 kVA transformer, a maneuver that stabilizes the electricity supply and directly benefits more than 100 families in the sector, said Mayor Wilmer Leal.

Leal expressed his appreciation to regional authorities for their institutional support in implementing these approaches. “We are deeply grateful to our governor Joana Sánchez and the Corpoelec team for this coordinated work. We are still on the street, town by town, providing efficient solutions in terms of public services for the well-being of our communities,” said the local president.

These actions, according to a press release, are part of the continuous work agenda carried out by the municipal government to consolidate public lighting and electrical stability in the different towns of the Aragüeña coast.
