Bolivarian Government installed General Staff of Telecommunications in Mérida

With the participation of more than 30 public and private telecommunications companies, Governor Jehyson Guzmán and the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services installed the General Staff of Telecommunications in the state of Mérida.

The Secretary General of Government, Richard Lobo, said that this table was set up with the purpose of integrating all institutions to continue providing immediate answers to the people, including free internet access in schools. The General Staff deals with the security and maintenance of telecommunications networks.

For her part, the Secretary of Public Services, Marielys Sacipa, reported that the entity has installed free internet in more than 600 state schools, achieving 60% effectiveness in 2023, while indicating that technical work has also been carried out in health centers and a firewall plan is being prepared due to forest fires in the region.

Finally, he indicated that in the telecommunications area they will continue to work through the 1x10 Good Governance System, to provide immediate answers to the population.
