Bolivarian Government handed over the rehabilitated Doctor José Vasallo Cortéz Hospital in Trujillo

The Popular Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, together with the governor of the state of Trujillo, Gerardo Márquez, delivered the rehabilitation work of the Doctor José Vasallo Cortez Hospital.
According to information published on the web portal of a well-known national newspaper, the hospital, located in the Sabana de Mendoza parish, in the Sucre municipality, was equipped with medical equipment, supplies and medications.
It was also detailed that after the rehabilitation, carried out by the Military Community Health Brigades (BRICOMILES), this health center will offer gyneco-obstetrics, pediatric emergency, adult emergency, surgery, internal medicine, gastroenterology, pneumonology, delivery room, laboratory, immunization and family planning.
In this regard, the head of the Health portfolio specified that the center has “an operating room with an anesthetic machine, with its stop car, with its instruments, with everything necessary to treat our patients of low and medium complexity”.
In addition, he noted that clinical beds, completely new mattresses and a multiparameter monitor were delivered, “all within the framework of the Bricomiles and reported through the 1×10 of Good Governance”.
For his part, the regional president indicated that more than 16,000 square meters of the hospital were rehabilitated, as well as the waterproofing of 1,500 square meters of roof and investment in air conditioning, electrical area and decoration of this enclosure.
“From now on, this hospital will perform surgical interventions. It removes 20 percent of decongestion from Doctor Pedro Emilio Carrillo de Valera University Hospital,” he added.
“We can proudly say that Trujillo will make a qualitative and quantitative leap in the area of health in 2024,” he said.
