In this regard, he invited all teachers and researchers to join and actively participate in President Maduro's latest call for national technological innovation, which will award 5,000 scholarships for national postgraduate studies.
“Scholarships must contribute to the strengthening of postgraduate programs. In addition to encouraging teaching staff to comply with the respective training processes and promotion work,” he said.
He also explained that the scholarships will have resources aimed at maintenance, tuition funding and research funding.
During a telephone contact, President Maduro directed that the university system should be brought to the highest levels of quality.
“We have to continue to combine in a perfect way an equation that will lead the Venezuelan university system to the highest levels of quality, in education, in careers, in pedagogy and at the highest levels, including technology,” he said.
The national president maintained that Venezuela must have the capacity to “produce knowledge, to produce science, technology” and achieve great advances in all productive areas.
