The head of government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, delivered 200 rehabilitated homes this Saturday in three buildings in the parish of La Candelaria, as part of the recovery efforts of Plan Venezuela Renace after the double earthquake.

“Today we are delivering three buildings: El Ebrión, El Tequendama and Los Ortega. In this same space we have to remember that it was filled with tents in those days, where the fear of entering a building due to the double earthquake was tenacious. Precisely four months later, here are our people, where we have repaired 233 apartments and they will be able to return happy and happy,” said Fernández during a show led by President Delcy Rodríguez, who was providing housing in La Guaira.

The head of government highlighted the completion of these works and noted that crews are still deployed in each of the buildings that were affected by the earthquake in the parish, within the framework of the recovery plan.

For his part, Professor Edgar, beneficiary of the plan and resident of the Tequendama building, thanked him for the attention received. “We are grateful for the Renace Plan, which has been implemented very efficiently and quickly. We were treated in all the apartments and in the repair of the building and the elevator,” he said.

The beneficiary explained that the intervention included a social approach. “There was social work where grandparents and other people who had some ailments were guided and supported with health and medicine, so we are totally grateful and we must keep going for Venezuela to be reborn,” he concluded.

A resident of the El Brión building also expressed her gratitude for the work carried out. “A million thanks to the president and all the team who had to be with us all day and night to recover our apartments. Now we can return to our homes, in one of the parishes where there are the largest number of older adults, to dignify our lives,” said the beneficiary, who thanked the Caracas government team for their support.
