Due to the arrival of the carnestolendo holiday and with the objective of minimizing any land movement on the road that connects the town of Choroní with Maracay, the Government of Aragua is carrying out the construction of a retaining wall at kilometer 11 of the road.

It is a concrete wall, approximately 400 cubic meters in volume, with a length of 55 meters and heights ranging from two to eight meters. The intention is that this foundation will be able to stabilize this vulnerable stretch due to landslides during rainy periods.

The project will have a service terrace for the controlled management of future landslides, and work will be carried out to adapt the continuous edge of the road so that the sediments flow and do not hinder vehicle access.
