To optimize hospital distribution and ensure operational transparency, the Minister of Popular Power for Health and president of the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS), Carlos Alvarado, held a meeting with representatives of different State entities to evaluate the progress of the new digital system for traceability of medical supplies.

According to a press release from the Health portfolio, the meeting was attended by Yván Gil, Minister of Science and Technology; Guy Vernáez, president of the company Alcaraván; Gerardo Raúl Briceño, Deputy Minister of Resources, Technology and Regulation of the Ministry of Health; representatives of the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Health, Science, Technology and Ecosocialism, and the team of the Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OTIC).

This initiative will make it possible to monitor medicines and equipment in real time from their admission to the ministry until their delivery to the final patient. Through the technical coordination between Alcaraván and the multidisciplinary technological teams, the authorities consolidate the final phase for the early implementation of this tool in the National Public Health System (SNPS).
