Bolivarian Government activates Venezuela's Foreign Trade Committee

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, officially activated the Venezuelan Foreign Trade Committee (COMEX), which will be responsible for the economic and customs tariff policies of small and medium-sized industries.

“This central body will make it possible to outline solid commercial strategies to prioritize the sectors with the greatest potential for productive chain and promote the competitiveness of the national industry, as well as to ensure the supply of priority goods and stimulate the strategic substitution of imports,” Rodríguez wrote, in his account on the social network Telegram.

He added that “Venezuela, in a national union, continues with its firm vision of consolidating a new economic model that guarantees national sovereignty and the satisfaction of the needs of our people, in order to defeat the criminal economic blockade.”
