Bolivarian Government activated the Strategic Anti-Forest Fire Command in Caracas

The teams are already working to protect the Waraira Repano National Park, Fernández said

The head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, reported that the General Staff was formed in Caracas to protect the people from any natural phenomenon and the Strategic Anti-Forest Fire Command was activated, with the objective of providing immediate and decisive attention, in the face of the hot season that the country is experiencing and which has generated fires in different natural parks.

Through his account on the social network X, he indicated that he held a working meeting with the security and prevention authorities of Caracas, including the head of the Capital Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI), General Dilio Díaz; representatives of the Public Security Cabinet and the General Staff of Risks.

He also specified that representatives of the Mayor's Office of Caracas, the fire crews, the People's Guard, the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), service corporations, Civil Protection and the Bolivarian National Militia (MNB) also participated, to draw up plans where we can prevent any eventuality due to high temperatures.

“That is our concern and we are addressing it, to prevent the weeds on the sides of highways from being set on fire by any malicious person,” he said.

He indicated that the teams are already working to protect the Waraira Repano National Park and the different plant lungs of the capital city, in order to prevent any source of fire.

Fernández urged Venezuelans to take care of plant areas and the environment to counteract the effects of climate change affecting the world.
