The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the construction of a citadel for the working class.

“A new model of massive housing construction, which would be working-class housing, we are going to build a complete city for the working class with its schools, high schools, parks and health centers,” said the head of state at a mass meeting with workers from the Orinoco Alfredo Maneiro Steel Company in Bolívar state.

In this regard, he indicated that the working class must organize itself for the creation of the citadel with the election of a spokesperson per company, while announcing a first Workers' Council for the City of Workers and Workers of Guiana as a pilot model for the country.

For her part, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that this announcement is like a dream of the working class that will come true thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution.

“Only the Bolivarian Revolution can do this because the proposal of surnames is to take away homes in Venezuela and hand over companies to the privatization market,” he stressed.
