Blackout in Chile leaves more than 17,000 homes without electricity

A total of 17,457 homes are without electricity in the Metropolitan Region of Chile, according to the most recent report by the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuel (SEC), collected by Cooperativa, reported on the Russia Today website.
He specified that the communes most affected are La Pintana, with 6,106 homes without electricity; Maipú (3,888); San Miguel (3,617) and Padre Hurtado (1,173).
He explained that the blackout, which began this Sunday, September 22, coincides with the heavy rainfall recorded in the central area of the country, where buildings without electricity reached more than 26,000.
