This Wednesday, the United States Department of the Treasury (USA) reported that it imposed sanctions on five entities and one person based in the Islamic Republic of Iran for their support to key locations that manage and oversee the nuclear program.
The North American statement added that this measure includes “the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (OEAI) and the Iranian Centrifuge Technology Company (TESA), subordinate to the OEAI.”
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent accused the Iranian government of seeking nuclear weapons, considering it an alleged “serious threat to the United States and a danger to regional stability and global security.”
According to information published by Hispantv, this accusation by Washington comes despite the fact that the director of national intelligence of the United States, Tulsi Gabbard, recently admitted that Iran is not building nuclear weapons and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, has not approved the nuclear weapons program that was suspended in 2003.
