Tourist activities on the beaches of the state of La Guaira resume this Saturday, October 31, with public service on weekends from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, the Beach Tourism Chamber reported.

The reactivation covers only spas whose boards of directors signed an act of commitment, a document that requires service providers to offer fair prices, guarantee hygiene, provide friendly treatment to visitors and maintain safety and cleaning measures in coastal areas, local media reported.

The coordinator of the Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela (Fedechambers) in La Guaira, Eduardo Quintana, stressed that this measure represents a relief for families that depend on the sector. “People need to become economically active. Likewise, those who visit the state's beaches need to clear their minds of everything that the double earthquake of June 24 meant,” said the union leader.

The commercial spokesperson reiterated that these types of measures are necessary for the population to start generating income and can improve their quality of life. He also reported that they are holding talks with the National Institute for Socialist Training and Education (INCES) to train about 400 people in areas required for the recovery of the state, especially in the port and airport sectors.
