From the homeland of Commander Hugo Chávez, the candidate for re-election and head of state, Nicolás Maduro, assured that “Venezuela is in full growth, entrepreneurship and economic prosperity.
“Miraculous times have arrived in Venezuela, blessed times and what is coming is the best (...) growth and social well-being recovered,” he said.
From a platform at the meeting with the people of the town of Barinas, the candidate and president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, stated that “Barinas witnessed the passage of Ezequiel Zamora's troops many years ago and we are heirs to those glories (...) From Bolivar, from Zamora and not by chance, this is the land of the greatest leader that our America and Venezuela have had, the greatest of the entire 21st century, our Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías. Today I invoke his spirit and may his countrymen remember him when he left this land undefeated.”
