Bancada Perú Libre rejects Edmundo González's visit and Dina Boluarte's interference

The Peruvian Free Bank rejected the interference against Venezuela by Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, after receiving a visit from the fugitive from justice Edmundo González Urrutia.

In the statement, the organization's spokesperson urges governments in the region to respect the sovereignty and self-determination of peoples, as well as to strengthen cooperation.

The movement recalled that the Boluarte regime “emerged in the midst of a brutal repression that caused the death of 49 civilians, and it lacks legitimacy,” and that its alignment with the anti-democratic right “undermines the sovereign will of the Venezuelan people who elected Nicolás Maduro as president.”
