The governor of the state of Yaracuy, Julio León Heredia, announced that a new air route will soon be opened, between San Felipe-Maiquetía-Margarita from Subtenente Néstor Arias Airport.

The regional president reported that commercial operations will be carried out by the company Albatros Airlines on a flight that will have the capacity to carry 20 passengers, with a weekly frequency.

“A victory that is possible thanks to the vision of our president Nicolás Maduro and to working together with the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán; the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics, in the hands of Col. Leonardo Briceño and Bolivariana de Aeropuerto,” he said in a press release.

He mentioned that the current challenge is to maintain the area connection. “We must seek efforts together with the business sector, especially those who work in the area of tourism, so that together with the people in general we can make it sustainable over time.”
