Back home! Juan Fontena joins Marinos de Oriente from the SPB

Power forward Juan Fontena was announced as the new reinforcement of Marinos de Oriente, for the rest of the season of the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB).
The announcement was made by his new club through a post on his Instagram account, where they welcomed him.
Fontena returns home after his time in Chile, where he became the first player in the history of that country's National Basketball League, with more than 2000 rebounds and more than 300 games in the top flight.
The native of Carúpano, Sucre state, because of his quality of play, made him one of the fundamental pieces of the ABA Ancud Club during the 2023 - 2024 season.
