The states of Monagas and Bolívar announced the reactivation of flights at air terminals with a rescheduling of their flights given the contingency generated by the earthquakes of last June 24.
General José Tadeo Monagas International Airport has started to receive commercial flights again, after the temporary cessation caused by recent earthquakes in the national territory, which altered aircraft traffic throughout the country, details a regional press release.
The general director of the Autonomous Airport Service of the state of Monagas (Saademo), José de Sousa, specified that local facilities never stopped working. “The suspension of service was a preventive measure taken directly by airlines due to the contingency suffered in the state of La Guaira, home of Simon Bolivar Airport and the main hub of air traffic control in Venezuela,” he said.
