Attorney Larry Devoe leads debate in Nueva Esparta for criminal justice reform

The Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Devoe, led the deployment of the National Consultation on Criminal Justice Reform in the state of Nueva Esparta, with the objective of discussing and constructing proposals together with the actors of the judicial system and citizens.

Devoe stressed that the fight against corruption constitutes a central axis of discussions and a priority work of a permanent nature.

He also pointed out that the irregular actions of a minority should not compromise the ethics or credibility of the majority of public servants with a vocation for service.

The initiative seeks to formulate a consensual road map to transform the structure of the Venezuelan criminal system and consolidate ethics in the exercise of public service.

During the day, institutional support was provided by the entity's governor, Marisel Velásquez.
