The attorney general of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, revealed this Friday the role of the detainee Rocío San Miguel, whose name appeared in the order of operations of the “ White Bracelet” magnicidal plan, aimed at assassinating President Nicolás Maduro and other senior authorities of the Executive.

“This Mrs. Rocío San Miguel is mentioned verbatim in Colonel Angelo Heredia's order of operations (...) She had a mission as part of that 'White Bracelet' plot, even betrayed by the arrested soldiers, which was to communicate in real time the progress of the terrorist actions that would take place,” William Saab explained at a press conference from the headquarters of the Public Ministry.

He pointed out that the investigations are under way “and there will be, no surprise, perhaps new detainees, and that after the arrest of this lady and her environment and the telephone extractions, there have obviously been extremely delicate things, of which I will not mention here out of legal reserve, that link her to that campaign against the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.”

She also said that in the United States “there are documents made by her by hand found on phones and a laptop (...) after we arrested her, her closest environment acts outside the law, unfortunately, by hiding and covering up evidence belonging to that citizen instead of collaborating with the justice system.”

Despite this, he stressed that Venezuelan justice has an “always impeccable reach and we were able to recover that device (the laptop), the four people who acted in this cover-up were presented and a precautionary measure was granted consisting of the periodic presentation of the case to the Court.”
