Attorney General of Cuba honors Bolivar in Caracas with floral offering

On the occasion of her official visit to Venezuela, the Attorney General of the Republic of Cuba, Yamila Peña Ojeda, paid tribute this Thursday to the Liberator Simon Bolivar, with a wreath-laying ceremony before the sarcophagus where his mortal remains rest, in the National Pantheon, in Caracas.

The protocol ceremony was accompanied by the senior official; the Deputy Minister for Latin America of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Rander Peña; the Cuban ambassador accredited to Caracas, Dagoberto Rodríguez, and the director of Human Rights Protection of the Venezuelan Public Ministry, Karin García, together with representatives of the Public Ministry and the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.

The Attorney General of Cuba arrived in Venezuela last Tuesday, through Simón Bolívar International Airport, in the state of La Guaira.

In February of this year, Peña Ojeda held a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Tarek William Saab, in Havana, where they evaluated 2 cooperation agreements that were signed in 2018, between the Public Prosecutor's Offices of both nations.

Caracas and Havana maintain an intense relationship in key areas for the development of their peoples, based on the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, signed on October 30, 2000 by their revolutionary Commanders, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez.
