The Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Tarek William Saab, celebrated this Thursday the ruling of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme
Court of Justice (TSJ), regarding the presidential elections
of July 28, stressing that the ruling must be complied with by all sectors involved.
“Compliance in all its parts is mandatory, it
validates the electoral results issued by the only electoral power in the country, the National Electoral Council, in the terms already known, among
other things it also clearly and unequivocally expresses the referral of said
opinion,” said the Prosecutor from the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Justice.
He noted that the sentence mentions in one of its parts
a statement issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office, related to the ongoing
investigation, stressing that in the next few hours it will report on
developments “with regard to the usurpation of office, electoral crimes,
conspiracy, among others, caused by those who, apart from having a plan
that was to ignore the legitimately constituted authority to
admit the results, use the electoral issue to escalate into violent, criminal actions,
terrorists”.
“We are then making use of all the corresponding
legal remedies and unequivocally complying with that ruling
given by the Supreme Court to move forward, deepen that investigation that will have
results and we are going to announce them at the appropriate time,” he emphasized.
