A new wave of violence is shaking Yemen after a series of intense aerial bombardments and fighting led by the Saudi Arabian coalition, which have left a preliminary toll of at least 150 people dead in the governorates of Taiz, Al-Jawf, Marib and Saada.

According to sources linked to the Ansarallah movement, the fatalities include six members of the same family, including two babies and a woman, after a projectile hit a house in the city of Mokha. In response to the offensive, the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) carried out retaliatory military operations against various regions of Saudi territory, causing the continuous activation of alarm sirens in Najran, Asir, Jizan, Abha, Jeddah, Yanbu and Al-Ula.

For their part, the authorities in Sana'a reiterated that they will maintain the doctrine of “escalation by escalation” and “blockade by blockade” until they achieve the total withdrawal of the international coalition, while confirming that their defensive actions have affected Saudi logistics infrastructure and that they managed to shoot down an F-15 warplane in the conflict zone.
