Arreaza: “Venezuela's dignified decision to ensure that International Law is respected” (+Ecuador)

The Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreza, supported and described as worthy the decision of President Nicolás Maduro to close the Venezuelan embassy in Ecuador and the Consulates in Quito and Guayaquil.
“Venezuela's dignified position and decision
to ensure that international law is respected, the life of
former Ecuadorian vice-president, Jorge Glas, is protected, and his right to political
asylum granted by Mexico is restored,” Arreaza said in a message
posted on his account on the social network X.
The announcement was made this Tuesday, April 16
, by President Maduro during the extraordinary Virtual Summit of the
Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), in response to the
assault on Mexico's diplomatic headquarters in Ecuador.
