Aristobulo Istúriz: The Teacher of the Bolivarian Revolution (+Christmas)

On December 20, 1946, Professor Aristobulo Istúriz, was born in Curiepe, Miranda State, a revolutionary who stood out for his dedication to the causes of the people to whom he dedicated his entire life with great loyalty.
In 1965 he graduated from the Experimental Institute for Teacher Training as a Primary Education Teacher. In 1974 he graduated from the Libertador Experimental Pedagogical University (UPEL) specializing in “History and Social Sciences”.
From his time as a student, he stood out for his combative spirit in defense of the rights of the people, a fact that led him to venture into politics where he stood out for his direct and sincere verb, where he pointed out with great frankness the truths of that people that the political castes of the fourth republic refused to see.
His activism in favor of the rights of the educators' union led him to be recognized as a union leader in the Unitary Union of Teachers (SUMA) of the federal district, in FETRAMAGISTERIO , in the Venezuelan Federation of Teachers (FVM ) and in the College of Teachers of Venezuela (CPV).
His fighting spirit led him to be recognized by the people of Caracas who elected him twice as councilor and then gave him their vote to make him the first revolutionary mayor of Caracas in 1993, a position from which he promoted popular organization to face the problems that afflicted the Venezuelan capital.
With the arrival of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez to Venezuelan political life, the teacher joined this cause, becoming a loyal ally, where he carried out important tasks, most notably his participation as Second Vice President of the National Constituent Assembly in 1999, and later in his work in front of the Ministry of Education, from where the educational Missions scheme that allowed Venezuela to be declared as Territory Free of Illiteracy.
His extensive knowledge, his organizational capacity, his discipline and loyalty to carry out the tasks entrusted by Commander Chávez, led him to occupy various positions within the Bolivarian Government, which he held successfully.
In 2012, the Supreme Commander asked him to become governor of the state of Anzoátegui, a task he fulfills and performs with great dedication until in 2016 he was called by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to assume the Executive Vice Presidency, a position from which he fought the onslaught launched by the National Assembly (AN) against the Bolivarian Revolution.
Later, after the first right-wing onslaught, he was assigned the task of organizing the people in the Ministry for the Communes and then promoted to become a Constituent, where, after being elected by the People, he became First Vice President of this plenipotentiary body that brought peace and stability to the country.
In 2018, he was again called upon by President Maduro to resume the Ministry for the Communes and later the Ministry of Education. During this period, he served as Sectorial Vice President of Social and Territorial Socialism, a position he held until the day of his physical departure, on April 28, 2021.
This distinguished patriot who has become eternal in the consciousness of the people who fight and will continue to fight illuminated by the guiding and certain word of the teacher of the Revolution.
