A City Police operation ended with the arrest of two subway workers at the Juan Manuel de Rosas station on Line B, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which resulted in the total paralysis of the transportation service in the capital.
According to information provided by Telesur, the Association of Underground and Premetro Workers reported that the peaceful measure to open windmills responded to unjustified sanctions against personnel, a situation that escalated after police intervention in the facilities.
Faced with the arrests, the union announced the indefinite suspension of the transport network until the immediate release of the arrested employees was achieved, describing the actions of the security forces as a persecution of union activity.
The union authorities demanded the cessation of the punitive measures and urged the establishment of institutional dialogue channels to resolve the labor dispute and restore the operation of the service to capital users.
